Years ago, I worked as the education director at a museum much like the one in this book. No murder ever took place there so far as I know; in fact, not even a crime of any note. Nevertheless, the kids I worked with knew the place was not quite right: they caught sight of ghosts walking the hallways; they knew the past was more alive there than the present. They wanted a murder, or at least something made for television, to happen. This book is one small way to redress what I could never deliver.
